Iriswest Posted September 27, 2020 Report Posted September 27, 2020 While you are porting make sure your EB2 I 140 is still active. In case the ban continues till July next year, ~ 200k visas will be added to FY2021 EB. With EB1 current and very low demand, chances of vertical spillover from EB1 to EB2 is very high. There will be 0 spill over from Eb2 to EB3. There is a good chance EB3 dates will move but EB2 will move faster. Quote
Sreeven Posted September 27, 2020 Report Posted September 27, 2020 Yes eb3 move may go back to 2013 with huge downgrade..lawyers ki full dabbulu.. Quote

Most of the family sponsoring folks are either residents or citizens. They wont like that and thatha will be screwed big time. Quote

Without a vaccine and a crumbling economy, I think he has a valid point to prove if he wants to continue the ban. Quote

There are multiple caveats to it. 1] Thatha should win. It's a 50% chance 2] From here on they might permit consular processing of FB but they may not allow the entry until Corona subsides. 3] All the family immigration sponsoring citizens and permanent residents will file a law suit if thatha himself keeps denying Corona and yet he wants to use it as an excuse to stop immigration. 4] Thatha vote bank doesnt like any sort of immigration. As soon as they know we are getting more GCs. Their foul cry starts. All the above factors will come into picture. Quote
Iriswest Posted September 27, 2020 Author Report Posted September 27, 2020 My PD is june 2015 EB2. Perm is approved with new company and I am continuing to file EB3 with new employer. In case EB3 dates are current next year, I don’t want to miss the bus. Also, in talks with old employer to file i485 in EB2 if it becomes current. Quote

He won't say that now..once he wins it will be extended I think, ban may not go that far.. Quote

If tatha wins, then he might anyway go ahead with the merit based immigration agenda and continue the ban citing unemployment numbers are still high. S386 ki vacchinantha edupu deeniki raaledu. With election so close, this matter is swept under the rug and has no media coverage, and CIS is also keeping mum to get the funding and avoid shutting down. Furlough was averted by this calculated move. Even Canada is favoring imland applicants than getting new immigrants from outside now. That is the perspective of governments when they say no more immigration. Quote

Enni immigration restrictions pettina/theesina he will not be affected as third term is not possible. Ye unwanted decision Ayina court case padthadhi and that will take time. He will actually unify them now. EB immigration valla thatha ki peddha ga profits em levu as per electoral prospects is concerned coz we dont even vote. However the FB immigration is a different dynamic. Even if 25% of those sponsors are trump supporters he will lose decent chunk of vote especially in southern border states like FL and Arizona. FL is a swing state and it has bunch of latino voters. If thatha loses FL. He can forget winning presidency. It's a big state. Quote
