EB2 aithe, I think your kid will turn 21 and will sponsor and get you the GC earlier than your priority date can get you.

This Covid and Trumps Family Based immigration ban helped move the dates. If you are expecting a GC, this  has to repeat for 3-4 years in a row. I am not sure how realistic of an expectation that is.

The other chance is a change in the law to somehow get rid of the backlog.

 

With both the above not happening, the forecast is not rosy. There are chances that the PD may not be current in lifetime.
