Actual numbers to EB2 by end of 2021 FY is around 7.5 K per FB ( Spillover) & EB ( Quota ).. so DOS is expecting due to low demand EB2 ROW & EB1 for this 2021 FY they are expecting some 20-25K spillover ? even if you get 20-25 K visas for EB2 you still have min 15K backlog..so looks like dates may not progress if ban gets lifted..

EB2 backlog will be min 40K < May 2011 PD, looks this will take time to clear and again move further..

Thats my understanding.. what I think is in coming daya .. EB2 and EB3 balance avuthayemo

Nope. Confirmed with multiple attorneys. Once you use and activate eb3 EAD , you can't upgrade later. I

If you still maintain h1b status after getting ead, then you can upgrade to eb2 if it becomes faster in future

Once on EB3 EAD you cannot move to EB2 again. This is what the lawyer told me:- "once you lose H1 and start working on EAD your status is pending AOS in EB3. In pending AOS status you can no longer move to other categories or file another 485"

Makes sense too.... you get ead by applying 485 how can you change the category while the application is still under processing.

Asked this particular thing of not using EAD or AP of EB3 to our attorney, attorney said we can use it and still change to EB2 if it is faster.

I am also in the same boat dont know what to do. My company Immi contact is not responding to my emails. Many from this DB and trackitt are advising not to go with downgrade.
