Data analytics company Palantir goes public

Palantir made its public market debut on the NYSE today — 17 years after the company was created. Shares opened at $10, and closed the trading session at $9.50.

Direct listing was yesterday at $7.5. Opened around $10. Comparable like Tableau Inc started at $47 and went upto $170 in six years before being bought by sales force. Similar growth undochchemo dheeniki kooda.

They are spending $400 million to $500 million on sales and marketing. For a company that made $740 million in revenue, it is a huge number. Target is healthcare and financial institutions now.
