In my opinion, This is nothing new or the first time it has happened...Its just that we did not realize the magnitude of such incidents until now.

What is new and first time happened is the volume of testing.

If same type of testing was done during the SARS outbreak, the results could also have been in millions, its just that we did not do testing as we are doing now. 

Science is doing its job and people are doing theirs. If people are doing their own remedies, its their individual opinion and at their own risk but that should not prevent Govt and Institutes from doing a scientific study.

Wearing a mask, Sanitizing hands, Social Distancing...9 months into the pandemic and these are things that are suggested. Infact, these were suggested in the first month itself, Was any scientific study undertaken with respect to Covid before suggesting ? These are however standard precautionary measures to be followed for flu and the same have been recommended..

agree..viruses are not new...but this is highly contagious. compared to other virus..sad part is ...it shows symptoms only after couple of weeks...until symptoms shown everyone is healthy...unaffected..

post SARS..they should have continued the research...but they stopped..because it didn't affect USA during that time...

if anything affect USA ...then only its world problem...

Viruses are contagious. This is bit harsh. 95% of the people did not even show one symptom, its the 5% who have showed symptoms and this 5% is the worst effected, not because of COVID but combination of COVID and existing health problems.

SARS vaccine trails continued till 2008, because post 2004, there were no cases detected and what use is the vaccine without an aliment ? USA might have had good number of SARS cases, just that they were not detected ?

if anything affect USA ...then only its world problem...and they have taken the whole world down. Europeans are the one's to be pointed at, they are the ones who started this unscientific solution of lockdowns and whole world quickly adopted, Thanks to Sheep mentality.

again agree...9 months of sanitization and mask wearing is frustrating...is there any alternative? Only alternative is to face COVID. Lets take precautions and get things back to normal and let scientists do their job, first thing first to identify how it spreads. Vaccine is not a solution,  8 billion vaccine doses, it takes 4-5 years to vaccinate the whole population and Don't know if Corona will even survive beyond another year or so..

science is great ...but sadly it works for money....

Finally, mark my words. Corona and  Govt's made fool out of everyone. I can cite 100's of examples where there is no logical sense or scientific sense behind the steps we are taking to contain the Virus.
