If you can provide proof that you are into the same business, you should be OK. But safe side ఒక 6 months ఉంటారు

same doubt for me, do we need to have same employer when dates are current or it can be different?

You can change employer but new employer need to file EAD if date retrogress and Your JD must 50% same as prev employer JD used in GC application.
