Mail in ballots requested right now are a little over 2.3 million. I am assuming many rats did not vote in the primaries.

Sometimes there can be a strong contender who can challenge the sitting president. Sitting President Gerald Ford almost lost the primaries to Ronald Reagan- who had switched from the dems fairly recently. Reagan went onto become the president the following term.
