Fake news...

And its silly to believe that a self prepared affidavit that too with a latest date on it, would take precedence over a proper birth certificate just because it was registered later.

Affidavit is for those who don’t have a birth certificate in the first place.

its not mandatory..but nobody wants to take a chance with the application that too after waiting in line for so long and encountering rfe just becoz of Birth certificate.

on precautionary measure, attorneys always suggest to attach affidavits, and supporting documents to be on safer side.

below is the guidance for Birth Cert requirement for India born applicants.

check the Registration Criteria...section...it says there is no proper rule even though 1970 act of registrars is there.

anduke to be safer side...the supporting documents....   @reality

But, thread starter can’t do both the things kada ani my point...How can he get a non-availability certificate, holding the Birth certificate already with him.

It says, in addition to non-availability certificate they accept other documents such as affidavit etc... non-availability certificate is mandatory along with affidavit.

since his Birth was registered , NABC is not needed.

NABC comes in when birth was not registered at all.

also...late registration ki NABC is mandatory to get , so not sure how @Fida got it late registered.

naaku teslisinanta varaku, late registration ki first NABC teskoni, a tarvata Birth register cheyinchi appudu cert istaru.
