CKGS Contract Ending Oct 31,2020 - Cant Renew Passports, Apply OCI or any other services through them.

I have posted documents and reached ckgs on 12 . They had a deadline to accept documents by 16 and they stopped accepting new applications creation on thier portal starting 14 . Starting nov 2nd vfs will start accepting applications and will act as mediator between indian embassy and us . India is not currently providing visas for tourists which would be the case for our kids . So the option to travel to infia with kids would be oci .if u already have visa for ur kids they may be allowing them to enter india but check on indian govt site . I may have to travel in December so applied in hurry

Bro they are giving visas for minor children of one of their parents is Indian citizen

In view of the Covid19 pandemic, only a limited category of travelers are permitted to travel to India.

It may also be noted that CKGS is no longer the service provider for the Embassy of India, Washington DC, or its Consulates in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, New York and San Francisco. Only urgent limited visa services are being provided directly by the Embassy for applicants requiring urgent travel to India under certain circumstances, the details of which are available at PERMITTED CATEGORIES FOR TRAVEL TO INDIA

II.Other foreign nationals

1. Foreign nationals who are minor children where at least either of their parents is an Indian citizen or an OCI cardholder.

Already visa unte np anukunta .. if u go to india visa website and click on evisa u get popup that it is not available

Also if you want entry visa contact embassy and they will give that vida, only entry visa not other types.

    With effect from 19 October, 2020 and till M/s VFS Global – the new outsource service provider takes over operations (expected from 02 November, 2020), the Embassy of India will provide direct limited services only in emergencies. Applicants are advised to keep in mind consular jurisdiction as well as the emergency contact information of the Embassy/Consulates in USA and submit an application to the relevant office. They will accept applications anukunta, but processing will start after nov 2nd.
