The strict, 76-day coronavirus lockdown in Wuhan, China — where the COVID-19 virus originated, and which set off a global pandemic — is captured in a harrowing new documentary, called 76 Days.

The documentary is able to be streamed virtually at the moment via a number of different film festivals, such as the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival this weekend.

The movie depicts the human cost of the coronavirus pandemic in a place some American leaders have written off, thanks to blanket rhetoric demonizing China and its leadership. This documentary is about the people who paid the price, who fought the virus, and who slowly built up the knowledge about this pathogen that humans have never confronted before — knowledge that we here now benefit from.

they should have kept the world enough informed right from the beginning and not allowed international travel

now the virus is everywhere and looks like it’s gonna be with us forever
