How long do you plan to keep it and how much do you drive per year ? If you plan to keep it for a long time and drive more than 15 k miles per year , then you have only one sensible choice lexus RX If you drive less than 10k , buy anyone of audi Q7 , BMW X5,X7 , benz GLC/GLS . Avoid used Porsche , range rover like plague . Don't forget that if you are buying a used 100k$ German car for only 50k$ , you will still be paying the maintenance for a 100k car Quote
Ryzen_renoir Posted October 14, 2020 Report Posted October 14, 2020 Right now the car market is supply constrained due to factory closures , so not many deals except for flop models . Used car prices are also extremely high , it makes sense to purchase a new car now . Leasing makes great sense when you want to own a premium brand except lexus , you don't have to deal with the depreciation or the problems outside warranty . https://forum.leasehackr.com/c/deals-and-tips/6 You can find all sorts of deals and tips there . Make sure to spend a few hours there , they will provide more information than anyone in DB can Quote

Audi , benz , BMW depreciate very fast and their maintenance is extremely costly when compared to lexus . The more you use , the more you need to spend on maintenance . I will give an example a 70 k$ Q7 will have 30-40k resale value after 3 years usage . A lexus RX priced at 70k when new will have a resale value of 50-55k because lexus is just so reliable and cheap to maintain . 1 1 Quote

Why don't you test drive the car , its a great SUV, I think it's very spacious but a little bit pricey . It will last you 20 years with no problems but the infotainment is very outdated , that's my only gripe A nice alternative although it isn't a luxury SUV is Kia Telluride (same as hyundai pallaside). You can get the luxurious features at 45 k$ . I love the way it looks too . My relative has a audi Q7 for four years , since he doesn't drive much it has been reliable and he likes it's features .
