tacobell fan Posted October 16, 2020 Report Posted October 16, 2020 Tesla's upcoming 2021 Model 3 got some subtle but important updates this week. The company bumped up the range for all three versions of its electric sedan. Long Range Dual Motor (starts at $46,990): Its range is now 353 miles, a 30-mile increase. Standard (starts at $37,990): The least expensive Tesla sedan went from 250 miles to 263 miles. Performance (starts at $54,990): Tesla increased the range of its most expensive Model 3 from 299 to 315 miles. Also, the Performance model is now quicker. It takes just 3.1 seconds to go from 0 to 60 mph, a tenth of a second faster than before. On the Tesla website, you can configure the car and see some of the changes to the steering wheel (it's now heated!), center console, and tires, as Electrek reported. Across all Model 3 versions, there's now a powered trunk, double-paned windows, and auto-dimming, heated side mirrors. The updated cars are shipping from the Fremont, California, plant in the next five to nine weeks. Tesla's newest car, the Model Y electric SUV, also got a range boost. The Long Range version went up 9 miles to 325 miles, while the Performance version crossed into 300-mile range territory for the first time, up to 303. Quote
