can you tell what are the groups that are based in India, other then naxals.... and can you tell me why naxal problem was not a big menace during BJP govt.
Are you saying there are no terrorist groups in India? The group which warned against CWG yesterday is indian mujahideen, an Indian thingy!

Naxals are more problematic now, because the Govt. is more aggressive on them now. Its not as easy as you think, to wipe out naxals like they show in movies. The same reason why Pak Govt is not able to weed out their terrorist groups.

Anyways the discussion here was not to scream at Govt when terrorists attack! Why don't you suggest some solution for this? Should the Govt. take over Pakistan and then eliminate the terrorist camps there?

and lastly, India is not so mighty to show its might!

India loses maximum lives to terror except Iraq since 2004

Read more: India loses maximum lives to terror except Iraq

India has since 2004 lost more lives to terrorist incidents than all of North America, South America, Central America, Europe and Eurasia put together. All of these vast swathes of the globe lost a total of 3,280 lives in terrorist incidents between January 2004 and March this year. India alone lost 3,674 lives over the same period of three years and three months.

In yesterday's edition of TOI, in our front page lead report on the Hyderabad blasts, we had said that terror groups have left India with perhaps the highest number of civilian victims of terror (apart from war-torn countries like Iraq).

Later, on Sunday, when we looked in detail at the worldwide numbers, we found India not only had the highest number of deaths after Iraq, but also the highest number of terror-related incidents and injured among all countries (again, barring Iraq) — more than all the war zones around the globe. India has been hit by terrorists at will and with chilling regularity — Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Malegaon, Varanasi, J&K — the list is endless.
It's only on one count — hostages taken by terror groups — that India's at No 3, to Iraq's No 2. Guess which country was No 1? Nepal, that too by a huge margin, thanks to large-scale kidnappings by Maoists.

Indeed, if one had to pick a terrorist hotspot on the globe it would have to be South Asia. Outside of Iraq, 20,781 people were killed in terrorist violence between January 2004 and March 2007, according to data available from the Worldwide Incidents Tracking System (WITS) of the US National Counter-Terrorism Centre (NCTC). Almost half of them, 9,283 to be precise, were killed in South Asia.

Besides India, Afghanistan has seen 2,405 lives being lost while more than 1,000 each have been killed in Pakistan and Nepal. Sri Lanka has had 866 terrorism-related deaths and Bangladesh 158. Bhutan and the Maldives are the only South Asian nations not to have lost lives to terror in this period.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I agree War is not an option, it is not good for the country..... So are terrorist attacks good for the country and the economy???? There have been many countries in the world...... whose country's economy has been destroyed by Terrorist violence..... one good example Pakistan.

We cannot afford a war????, then what is use of spending $34 Billion per year on our military and is one of largest buyer of military goods(Fighter aircrafts, nuclear submarines, etc) in the world.....

End of discussion with you.  #~` #~`

Okay, got into their shoes and understood how bad they feel about it? So what should we do now? Go overthrow Pak Govt?
Why don't you guys suggest something as in what the Govt. should be doing better than what it is doing right now?

and how your post (the first one) and the way you are venting at the Govt. will help?

You won't get into the Govt or defense forces, at least suggest some thing constructive. What was your goal when you started this post? Just to criticize Indian Govt. and then continue with your work happily?

Hitting Pak heavily will be the worst thing to do and will worsen the situation. A fwe groups in Pak and India are the culprits and both the Govts should work together to eradicate them. Period.

Are you saying that Pakistan Govt. is perpetrating the attacks on India. Then why are they being attacked more than us.

The solution is not hitting Pak Govt, it is working with Pak Govt, people on both sides realizing that we have common enemies and fighting together towards eliminating the terror groups.

Broder tensions always exist. They feel its their land and we feel its ours. The major problem is terrorism.

Finally, I admire Indian Govt. for the way they handle this. Going for a full blown war will just ruin our country, for no reason.

I'm glad the country is in hands of people who believe war can't solve anything.

You talk like all those bureaucrats and politicians are some aliens. They are Indians. What can the Govt do about this? Din't you or your family bribe anyone/take bribe till data?

adhi India lo vunna corruption and Sonia made a statement that it will be investigated. What else do you expect from Congress? Should they magically change the mindset of all corrupt Indians?

and I said stand with Govt. when terrorists attack India instead of screaming against Govt for its inefficiency. They are as worried as we are about this and it will in fact help them more if they contain all attacks, but aa situation lo vunte, akkada vunde problems telusthai... ekkado evado attacks plan chesthe, evaru em cheyyagalaru?

Yes they r Indians. Isn't the govt.'s responsibility to make sure that events r organised properly ??? Isn't govt's responsibility to check whether  money being spent is properly being implemented at grass root level or not ???

And please don't be under illusion that govt. as we are, Yes they r worried whether they can make money out of it or not and nothing else...

evado attacks plan chesthe em chesthara.....

leader movie lo cheppinattu.... desanni guddalu vuda peki kurchopetti vallana terrorism cheyodhu ante vallu vurukuntara...

For example, if some international player who comes to play CWG and suppose if he gets hurt, wat will happen then ???

Remember, when sri lankan cricket players were attacked in pakistan, pakistan was stripped off cricket matches completly !

If something goes wrong in India, then I won't be suprised if something of sort happens to India ! It will be a huge humiliation, embarressment for us...
