Most Indian cities, even after encroachments and illegal occupation of tanks and canals, Indian cities can still manage upto 10cm of rain per day..

Anything more than that, water loggin do happen and nothing much can be done on human scale.

Hyd and Blore, at least they are on elevated terrain and have a natural drain. So, low lying areas will flood no matter how good you design storm water drains.

Check the Drainage canal , it is bent and narrowed so how does water goes through it.
