Bro, Below video should give you more details on booking RV and campsites. In short, I rented from https://www.outdoorsy.com/ and I paid 550$ for 2 nights including insurance. I highly recommend going through below video.

Bro, It was a short trip, 3 days or 2 nights trip. We went all the way to Pismo beach from Bay area. Did camping there for 2 days. Main purpose of renting an RV is to avoid restrooms at campsite (due to covid) and also it was convenient to stay with small kids compared to pitching a tent at campsite.

I paid around 550$ for 2 nights including insurance, plus fuel based on usage.
