You take any parameter , Merkel is like the farthest from a dictator when compared to most of big national leaders .

Infact her biggest criticism is she is not tough enough versus Russia , turkey ,china , etc

Protectionist policies in the name of nationalism when their true intentions are go save the bania industrialists . This creates weak private companies that cannot compete with anyone outside India and higher cost for consumers  . Why do you think any big indian group outside Tata cannot operate outside India ?

Instead of encouraging new entrepreneurs with tax cuts / R&D grants / long term policies  , they are trying to choke them with same high tax as big houses . MSME are the main drivers of employment anywhere in the world which BJP is driving to the ground , why do you think national unemployment is 45 year high ?

Not enough stimulus spending to handle covid recovery , while all countries around the world are pumping trillions to save the economy by spending on large infrastructure projects . They are just resorting to juggling number and trying to cutback on many projects , example polavaram .

 

BJP government is treating opposition ruled states as enemy states rather than part of india , they are actively trying to sabotage the financial health of states . Just a small example , polavaram project would be a great asset to the nation if completed quickly on time but their intention not to pay land rehabilitation costs will doom the project , AP is in no position to bear the costs .  Just because it a non BJP state , they are killing the project . On the contrast china has built over ten dams in the last 5 years of similar magnitude , no politics just pure economic return calculations 

Likewise for amaravathi , they should have given more funds to build a capital , a city of that much scale can never be built without the backing of a national exchequer , Chinese central government has financed over 100 such Greenfield city projects , while initially a failure , they recovered and are thriving due to the persistent support of center .

 

While most of these are inherited from UPA , instead of fixing them BJP is taking to the next level
