cup_saucer Posted November 2, 2020 Report Posted November 2, 2020 This is not related to travel. The person whom the question is about had left to India yesterday. Thanks to this group. The question here is, we had applied for extension of stay while the person was staying on b2 visa here. The case is still pending and had no issue at exit at JFK. How do we now update the case with uscis about the departure and closing the case. Or do we need to really do something at all? Quote
Spartan Posted November 2, 2020 Report Posted November 2, 2020 if the B2 has actually stayed beyond 6 months, its better to keep the case open and if Bio are done, get the approval notice and keep it for records. if Bio not done, the application will be terminated citing that person did not show up. With this pandemic , carrying the reciept would be ok . Also you are legal to stay on receipt in US . So deny ina as they left while in pending it ahould not be an issue 1 Quote
rahulroy4u Posted November 3, 2020 Report Posted November 3, 2020 My MIL left after biometrics done and case pending, Her approval came after, and the approved end date was exactly the same date as she left. 1 Quote
