Its sometimes swargam. Manishi situation batti untundi. In pandemic living alone naku mental ekki mental hospital lo undedanini without two jobs. Very active life style to sitting home is a major change.  I think i am still not emotionally okay being home.

If there is no Visa dependency and work is interesting & good prospects no point in switching.

 

for second point it depends on your priorities. I Have done both.

With recent changes to h1 i feel contracting is better to maintain status rather FT.

Of course you will lose the FT benefits. It's up to individual.
