technically prevailing wages, recruitment and perm takes an year almost. There is no way any one can apply for new 140 within 6 months of previous employer 140 approval.

Technically not possible that you will apply for new 140 within 6 months of old 140 approval. 

prevailing wages, recruitment, perm with new employer takes more than 6 months. 

So if your old employer didn't revoked your 140 after you left  Then you can port even if you didn't stayed with them for 6 months

In simple terms 

you got 140 approval, stayed with them 6 months. No future issues even if employer revoked 140 later

You got 140 approval. Did not stayed 6 months.  Your porting will depend on whether your employer revoked or not.
