Last lo your wife plate thippithey your life is behind bars forever

I see what you are saying, but my wife is the one who is fed up with her own family member’s behavior. We have a great bond and there is no problem between us so far.

No specific reason. It is my wife wish to stay close to family members and I could not say no as they have their businesses and relatives near by. We had our plans to stay away after a baby, but It’s looking bad now.

Two years back, I married a gujju ammayie after falling im love and going out for almost 2 years. She is very good and her family is also fine. Internally my in-laws started to dislike me for reasons known best to them and they want to report our wedding as fraud to u s c i s through lawyer. My wife understood what her parents are doing is wrong and she said we will fight. If they place a case on us, how will the impact be? How can a thrid person has any right to say our wedding is wrong? My wife and I have a great bond and we love each other and infact planning to have kids pretty soon. We are now worried about how this situation will impact us?

Seems like your conditional green card is still pending, if you have substantial evidence (joint bank account, shared utilities, any other evidence that shows you both are living together) then USCIS will won’t consider those fraud complaints. They may rise a red flag and do a stokes interview( separated)  during AOS, but if your marriage is bonafide nothing will be happened, don’t worry. Please do take a lawyer for your I-485 interview. USCIS don’t do outright  denial For family based cases, they only do it for blunt fraud cases.

PS: USCIS get numerous fraud complaints calls every day they don’t take every call seriously. Your main intention should be now to collect as much as evidence possible of your shared living.

One good thing in your case is both are from same race (Indians) those cases are considered as less red tape according to adjudication officers. If couples are from different race/language/big differences in age/not living together are automatically added as red flags and more scrutiny at the field office during the AOS interview. Better gather as much evidence as possible. Also do look at visa journey/Reddit USCIS website so you can interact/stay in touch with people who are going through same process (family based AOS).
