I used to think it was humiliation, they would ask me questions like if I even get paid, if I can travel to India, if I didn't get a job, that's why I did a PhD, they would ask me to take leftover food from restaurant meals since I am poor. But to be honest, my husband convinced me out of that. Fine if they think I am poor or I am a loser, great if they are paying for my food and giving me leftovers. I am getting food, they are getting satisfaction that they are better than me. So, I don't mind it.
