H1b Dropbox India

Did anyone did dropbox recently ? Is Dropbox opened for regular H1b stamping or is it still for only for emergency appointments ? Are there any date available in December ? It's not clear from the us embassy website whether it's only for emergency appointments or for regular H1b stamping also...

If you are eligible for drop box then you can use the drop box by booking an appointment slot just like regular visa appointment and then dropping your documents in the appointment time slot . No emergency appointments needed.

FYI - There is a misconception that no appointment is needed for dropbox but the rules have changed from 2019, you need to book an appointment for drop box also.

Follow these steps :

1. Fill and submit DS160.

2. Go to CEAC India website, create an account if you don't have one already. 

3.After logging into CEAC account, there we will be a series of questions to determine your drop box eligibility when you click on the new appointment link. If you are eligible then pay the MRV fee. After the MRV receipt gets activated, try to select the slot you need. If the slot is confirmed then you can drop your documents in that time slot.

Nope same employer required rule was relaxed back in 2018

Nenu last yr June lo Dropbox chesaa, and I changed employer at that time. All they need is previous employer i797 and new I 797 to verify documents
