Society and Psychology of school kids

Did you know that if every day, for years, if people continuously told you that you were stupid, you would eventually believe that you are stupid?

Did you know that if every day, you told yourself that you will become kinder, eventually you would find yourself becoming kinder?

Buddhist prayer beads/necklaces are based off of this. Using it correctly, you end up repeating your mantra about 10,000 times, which I believe in psychology has actually been found to change the brain and the way it thinks.

The power of suggestion is immense, and it can affect many aspects of your life. In middle school and high school, the common insult was “you're gay". What happens to the kid who, after being told this every day for years? Eventually, they will come to believe it, or experiment and try it and find it to their liking because that is what they have been told to believe.

If I tell myself everyday that I will win the Nobel Prize since I am 15 years old, will I win the Nobel Prize?

If your work is established already it will. If your work is poor and you still believe , that's stupidity.

If i say a school kid you are a gay: then his soul would eventually believe in it. Its a social construct.

He is talking about psychological imprinting and you are talking about external rewards. Its comparision of apples and oranges. Not sure if you understand the nuances of this. But just give it a thought.

You still need to believe that you're good enough for external rewards. If I tell myself I am good enough for a Nobel Prize, then I am good enough for it?
