Tution fee is cheap in state funded University , cost of living is cheaper in small cities . You have to choose your university first , cannot generalise . The top private universities are costly but the programs are worth it if for networking purposes and get into top companies . Normal consulting job ki ayithey , just choose a state university with funding if possible , you can work as TA/RA and cover most of the fee + stay . otherwise state university + gas station job will should also cover your expenses . Only first sem fee you should pay out of pocket in this route Quote
CH_Desi Posted November 16, 2020 Report Posted November 16, 2020 Typical cost per credit for state universities would be anywhere from $1200-$1500/ credit and the whole program is around 30-36 credits, so tuition could be anywhere from $36K-$50K and living expenses range from $400-$1000/month so assuming you will complete the program in 2 years, $5K-$24K. Add everything up you are looking at anywhere between $40k-$75k. If you get a assistantship you can almost halve the costs. Quote

beerboy17 Posted November 16, 2020 Report Posted November 16, 2020 I have a doubt bro Can one pursue MS once you have filed immigrant petition i.e i-140 approved...? Heard that its difficult to get F1 visa once you started gc process.. Quote

Heard that its difficult to get F1 visa once you started gc process.. F-1 is non-immigrant intent. I-140 is dual intent. So, mostly it’s oneway. Adjudicators/VO need to see F-1 requirements are fulfilling or not instead of simply approving visa. Quote

Galactus Posted November 16, 2020 Report Posted November 16, 2020 depends on university , go to top tier if you can afford 50k+ Based on experience , I would suggest going to cheaper one (not day 1 cpt ones but decent state univs) , <20k with options for funding , TA , RA etc overall , make sure that the debt is very less before you come out of university its very hard to pay off these amounts and it will sting paying loans back if you do not get a 100k+ job If you are already working, try part time at a near by state university , check if you can get instate tuition Quote
