Uttar Pradesh: Engineer Arrested for Sexual Abuse of Nearly 50 Children

LUCKNOW: A Delhi-unit of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Ram Bhawan who was a junior engineer in the irrigation department in Uttar Pradesh from Banda on Tuesday. 
CBI said that Bhawan was accused of sexually abusing 50 children (between five and 16 years of age) for a period of over 10 years. The accused was allegedly also selling videos and photographs online using Darkweb. 
CBI also said that the abuse of children took place across three districts of the state - Chitrakoot, Banda and Hamirpur. 
The scrutiny of the emails of the accused has revealed that he was allegedly in constant touch with several individuals (both Indian and foreign nationals) for the purpose of sharing child sexual abuse material. 
During raids on the accused's residence the CBI recovered eight mobile phones, cash amounting to around Rs 8 lakh, sex toys, a laptop and other digital evidence, including a large volume of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

In a shocking incident, CBI has arrested a junior engineer of Uttar Pradesh irrigation department for allegedly selling child porn. The accused allegedly videos and photographs of nefarious acts on dark net to other paedophiles across the globe. CBI sources also said that he also victimised about 50 children in the age group of 5-16 years in the districts of Chitrakoot, Banda and Hamirpur.
