VMC ( VMware cloud) on AWS picked up very fast and many customers are migrating or using it as a DR location- There are many opportunities for Pre-sales Technical/Architect roles. But with H1-B/Visa consulting ee roles koncham tough!!.

AVS ( Azure VMware Services) - Just went GA last year - still inka full traction raledu, slowly picking up steam there as well.

As maverick19 pointed out, It is easy to learn VMC on AWS or AVS  (Azure VMware solutions) If you are already familiar with VMware/vSAN/SDDC.
All the Day 2 operations( Lifecycle and hardware related issues) are handled by VMware Support SRE's, for VMs and other management existing Ops/VMware teams vuntayi kada !!.

Most of the work in these roles or Jobs will be architecting the solutions, Pre-sales Tech engagements.

My thought process around saying that vmware on cloud will not be the future is. vmware might become quick solution to migrate existing workloads to cloud with HCX. but cloud features cannot be fully utilized it is still old vm but on cloud. So it is more of stop gap solution.
