Forester and outback engines are same. But for outdoors or on rough terrain outback is sold vehicle and it very spacious. Subaru eye sight feature is one of the best in the industry. Technically it is a wagon /mid size suv.

Nissan rouge 2020 model .this is the best suv in this range with no issues...all other vehicles have one or other issues..it comes with cvt..the best cvt ...and it runs forever and least maintenance car..

 

Considering there is 2021 all new model..rouge 2020 has best deals..you get rouge platinum awd under 30k ..base model for 20 k

You can get a higher trim and safer car  at same cost  

Buy certified Lexus UX or Volvo 70

Those cvt transmissions are good for daily commutes.. they are not the old bad cvt

mazda cx-5 is best in driving and design but in long term it is not reliable like the rest.. if you dont mind reliabliity mazda is good.

nissan rouge 2020 old model is the best proven vehicle.. it is bad in design but it is like hero honds splendour.. better than rav4 beacuse it is cheaper.. very easy to maintain (cheaper the rav 4). For a A - B commute, space. reliablity , mileage it beats all.. also since 2021 is out.. you can get best rouge with bose info entertainment for 30k. base for around 21 k
