In your case buy cheap brother ink jet printer. Don’t buy genuine ink cartridges. They are expensive. Instead buy cartridges on amazon. For around $10 you will get cartridges that last more than a year.

budget lo aithe hp instant ink compatible inkjet printer is the best..

BW printing use Brother Laser Printer. aroun $100, it will come. Best and it will last atleast 2 years.

Color printing use any inkjet printer. buy around $50 bucks. probably canon one is better. others also fine. you can keep buy replacement cartridges at 4inkjets.com or even do refill at costco at $5 each.

Do not ever buy Epson printer. This is a worst brand and goes bad after few months.

I used both and happy with laser...

Buy the printer that supports HP instant ink  ... so no need to spend much on cartridge 

Cartridge is free for 15 pages  a month plan

Brother laser printer.. 3 in 1 monochrome you will get for less than $150... starter cartridges give up to 500 prints... you get 3rd party cartridges for $25 which prints up to 2000 pages... best for people with school going kids..
