Tire Warranty - Help

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Will there be a Manufacturer Tire Warranty based on miles for the cars? My 2016 Highlander has 30K miles on it & dealer is recommending to change 2 tires (based on depth, not damage) which I think is too early to change. So just wanted to check if I can use any warranty to claim new tires?

Thanks.

Unless there are visible manufacturing defects , no chance .  Sometimes tires do wear out unevenly , only solution is tire rotation .

Better get them changed because tires are the most important part of the car interns of safety

Tire warranty usually will be like 5 Yrs or 60K KMs some brands have unconditional warranty.

For Manufacturing defects they will replace under warranty but that also will be on pro-rata basis after some time say 1-2 yrs.

If tires have worn out unevenly it out due to bit bad wheel balancing, usually tires should be rotated during service or after say 1yr or so.

If the tires are from the car (when you bought the car), then there may be a 1 year warranty.

Tires were rotated during every servicing, yet somehow they worn out pretty quick. So per your comments, it looks like warranty will not be covered for thread wearing. They are already down to 3/32nd & 5-6/32nds, should change them soon before winter.

Thanks Guys!

It’s not the case in USA.
