Austin is definitely the better place for younger people 

Good weather , lot of tech jobs , slightly lower house prices than Boston (although the house tax is very high) , no state income tax , decent educational institutions .

Idk about desi community but both places do not have huge desi community

Austin .. been in boston for 6 yrs and moved to Dallas . Aa weather ki oka dandam .. and real estate is so costly. Move to Austin

Austin real estate is heating up these days due to bay area valasalu but yeah hot climate is better for us than cold , even though its so hot that it burns

Boston is so much better in every way. 

Austin weather sucks, always hot and humid. 

Boston has a lot better educational institutions as well, Austin is not even close to it.

Austin is picking up slowly but it’s Texas...  

if you like warm weather go to Austin or if you are a cold bird go to Boston.

If you are a young family with small kids and appreciatedesi community - Austin. 

Boston lo desis untaru kaani desi communities to buy houses are very very limited. Weather gurunchi cheppakkarledu, but Boston lo allergy issues chala takkuva. 

If you have older kids ready to go to College soon, Boston beats Austin by miles. Boston area lo you have choice of undergrad schools. 

Housing costs lo Austin is cheaper but not by a whole lot.

never been to Austin so I cant comment on that. But Boston lo unna....weather, yes it sucks in winters (add late fall + early spring as well)..very old city, horrible traffic, expensive real estate, famous of rats (personal experience)....education wise top, jobs baane untai, driving distance lo NY/NY etc (adi ela advantage avthundo theliyadhu but just mentioning).

bottom line....if you prefer hot weather (I think once you have kids, you might prefer this so that day time and outdoor ki chaala time untadi Vs stuck indoor for 9 months in colder places), cleaner city, not soo expensive real estate, then go for Austin....universities emundhi le, kids elagu grow up ayyaka US motham lo ekkadikaina vellochu

I am ok with cold , but ine of my concern was housing prices in Boston too expensive.

If u or ur family has pollen related allergy issues, then avoid Austin, ledu ante Austin best
