Many of you remember Bollywood actress Urmila Matondkar from her character as Mili Joshi in yesteryear's blockbuster hit Rangeela, opposite Aamir Khan. But little did the viewers know at that time, the actress had earlier appeared on the silver screen as a child artiste in Karm, Shreeram Lagoo's Marathi film Zaakol, Shyam Benegal's crime Kalyug, Shekhar Kapur's drama Masoom, and many others. Having made her acting debut as a grown-up and a name for herself not just in Bollywood but down South as well, Urmila was loved and praised by one and all. 

In a film career spanning more than forty years, there was hardly an instance when she grabbed headlines for personal reasons. Maybe that was the reason why her name never got linked with anyone, romantically. Urmila remained single throughout until 2016. The Bhoot actress surprised one and all when she tied the knot with a Kashmir based model-turned businessman named Mohsin Akhtar. 

Urmila and Mohsin, interestingly, met at designer Manish Malhotra's niece, Riddhi Malhotra's wedding. Reports also have it that Manish played a significant role in uniting the two. The designer was also one of the few people invited to the couple's low-key wedding in Mumbai.

Mohsin and Urmila exchanged wedding vows at the latter's home in Mumbai. The actress also released an official statement after tying the knot and said, "We kept it an exclusive wedding with just family and friends at the celebration. Since our families wanted the wedding to be a low-key affair. We mutually decided to keep it private. We seek your blessings on embarking this new journey of our lives."

It was Urmila's sister Mamta who turned the wedding planner for her. Theirs was a Hindu wedding, later followed by an intimate nikaah ceremony.

While Urmila is an established actress,  Mohsin is a model and businessman by profession. He shifted to Mumbai to pursue his career in modeling. He was also a part of the Farhan Akhtar-starrer Luck By Chance. If reports are anything to go by, Mohsin also modeled for Manish Malhotra for some of his campaigns. He has walked the ramp for top Indian designers like Vikram Phadnis and Ranna Gill.
