I offered to do this many times , common here 

If I see some family , I help them if I'm waiting in line for that scenic spot , most of the times they return the favor and help us with a picture in our phone etc..

With my camera only... 😂. It was surprising to me. I never knew people would not mind. Someone thought I am a student and its part of my research work. And one thought am looking forward for some events and offered a future event. I never knew this works this way. But defenitely it is a great experience to me. Infact, I have seen in many photographers checklist to photograph a stranger.
