H1B - visa stamped - how long can stay in India

On H1B, came on vacation to India and working from here..

Visa is already stamped, may need to stay for another month or so..

is there a time limit on how long one can stay in India while being on H1B and working for US company? It's been almost an year I have been in India..

no limit on stay but ekkuva kaalam US company ki India nundi work chesi US jeetham teeskunte you are liable to pay taxes in India.

I don't think it will be a problem...my friend worked from India for almost 17 months after H1B was stamped and then he left to USA without any issues....just general questions asked at POE...

I-140 means your Perm process started... if you stay out of country then you may get questions at port of entry ...that's it one of my cousin got a bad taste of it .. be prepared for that....

dont think too much...already chaala months unnav and you said another month or so pattochu ani....so come back next month and edaithe adi....if you are FTE, then ask your paralegal/attorney to provide sufficient documts like updated Employment verification letters stating you are still employed and latest paystubs etc. If they ask why this long, then prepare to give brief and believable answer (dont say since everyone are remote I stayed in India and worked from there etc). You can say due to embassies were closed (if you didnt had prior valid stamping) or family related emergencies that needed your personal attention etc.

i too agree with this.. do not waste your time on thinking too much... enjoy the time in India...
