Poor people has more opportunities to get better these days. They are still left poor means lack of education and guidance to use their hard earnings good way. Politicians don't care for this.

BTW, India has uplifted more than 400 million from poverty levels in the last 30 years. From Hunger deaths to excess food. We have come a long way and we still have rampant poverty...It co exists.

In fact middle class in India getting poor and poorer, they just maintain false prestige. Poor people are getting better, but they're not able to make use of their money in proper ways

People want to be poor to get freebies from the state. 

 

No incentive to move from poor to middle class or middle class to rich.

 

Govt will take care of educatiion for kids, health for the family, food for family, housing and so on ... ONLY IF YOU ARE POOR.

okkavela poor people andariki free bees vasthey inka maids, drivers, municipality lo cleaning jobs etc anni kaali untayi.

most of the freebees go to the people who dont need them.
