Okay akka, will this bill also eliminate the H1b fraud and replacing local workers with someone who are willing to work for low wages?? It is happening in every company IT dept kada. Definitely it will depress and stagnate the wages for local IT workers  because all of sudden you have tens of thousands of more people in job market with unrestricted labor access gives more bargain power to corporates to bring the tech salaries to lower level.

How is this bill related to H1B fraud? If there is a huge number of green card holders in the IT industry, wouldn't companies relying on H1Bs exploiting their employees reduce? The reason H1B fraud is happening is because the employees are being exploited by their companies. Giving GCs to IT employees will prevent these companies from exploiting H1Bs by paying them low wages.

Then why even white senators are chinching shirts to support/benefit Indian community at the cost of STEM local students?? If we speak honestly keeping aside the emotions, Every one know if this bill is passed, it severely disadvantage local STEM students and opportunities for locals who aspire to be in IT field. If this bill is passed in current form,  I think in next 10-15 years, it will help Indians to monopolize the tech field in US. I wonder the representation of non Indian it IT will be no more than 10% then.

A person from India who has an American passport is no longer an Indian, but an American of Indian origin. Despite that if you are against Indian Americans in tech fields, that's called discrimination.

They don’t increase the wages but relay on continues supply of GC’s /EAD people moving forward as they will get continued supply of 100k new GC’s/EAD’s every year for next 10 years for sure, so local people (most likely someone who graduated here ,needs to pay student loan) will be disadvantaged as they can’t work for as low wages as this new people who can/willing to take jobs for lower pay who just came to labor market with unrestricted permits. Classic example H4 EAD, not saying any thing against it but fact is it brought down the rates for routine IT jobs like maintenance/testing.

I am not against any race /people of origin akka, just saying that will be a reality in next 10-15 years. I don’t think any other field/trade that has more dominated by one particular race.

Local students if competent will not find it hard to find a job. Competency is the key. As long as these employees are not doing anything illegal, why should you care? DOL fixes wage levels anyway. If there are more testers, clearly it's not a high skilled job, and requires a reduction in the wage levels.

Like I said, if the bill passes, it's not against local STEM students. If anything this bill will prevent any kind of fraud by heavy H1B employing companies, and prevent them from exploiting H1Bs.
