South nundi okka farmer kuda dekhadu...pure political pressure kosame thappa this bill actually benefits hell lot south farmers..especially Telangana.

Rice miller’s kelli **** palaga pressure vunatu vundi Dora ki..

south farmers ki how this bill benefits? south lo most states lo farming chesude takkava... so south ki damage takkuva ani cheppu oppukunta.

dora edhedho pathakalu pettinchi thega penchesaadu agri output ni. ippudu evadu kontaadu avantha market lo? dora committee vesi em naataalo diktat isthe andari farmers ki laabham ochesthada? emanna naa.

first people who are into agriculture should reduce. drastically. the bill itself is not bad, the conversation has to go past the bill and into the subsidies that farmers get, and how to automate and reduce the workforce in that sector.

ofcourse you are right that dora is supporting this strike for nothing. its actually gonna bite him hard later if he makes any promises over this. thankfully, he's not that stupid.

My father is still farming , the main problem with agriculture today is that the income of farmers is falling taking inflation into account . (Doubling of farm income antha buss)

MSP provides a baseline , a worst case scenario .  But it has many pitfalls

1. Encourages mono cropping , lakhs of acres of paddy when there is not enough demand .

2. Does not distinguish between various quality of rice .  I can grow fine grain like BPT or large grain like MTU-1100 and still demand almost the same MSP .

There is not much incentive to grow the desired varieties  if they have almost same MSP as the latter does not need much care and has higher output .

For example : 99% of punjab rice is not consumed in their state and it is not desired even by ration card holders .

These farm laws will still have MSP but it's not enforced .

When MSP is gone , the rice Miller's will form a cartel and prey on small farmers (even 30 acres farmer is small ) .

There is no safety net , not much capital investment  , no research on agriculture , no protections against hoarding, etc  in these laws

What crops will these farmers switch to ? Who is going to guide them ? Some of them are doing it for 30-40 years and you expect them to change immediately ?

It's not like they are protesting against BJP , they are in arms against Delhi strongarm tactics .

Even rahul Gandhi was booed off stage when he tried to address them in Punjab , that's why he slipped away to Goa holiday .

Hyderabad: Farmers across Telangana are up in arms, demanding minimum support price (MSP) during the ongoing procurement process and compensation for crop damage in the recent floods in the state. Farmers unions are intensifying their protests and have called for a grameena bandh on November 26.

Paddy and cotton farmers are faced with problems in procurement related problems, said T. Sagar, general secretary of the Telangana Rythu Sangam. “The Telangana government has encouraged farmers to grow sanna rakala (fine variety) paddy in this season. The MSP is fixed as Rs 2,500 per quintal. With the delay in procurement, farmers are forced to sell their crop for as low as Rs 1,500 per quintal, incurring losses as a result,” said Sagar.

MSP decide chesedhi center kadha... procurement delay endhuku ayyindhi?

dora is concerned that all that canal infrastructure would not pay off, if the produce has to compete in a market without any subsidies from the central govt.

and this concern is out of the purview of the bill itself, but is definitely part of the conversation.

yes. conversation around the bill is wrong. the conversation should be on how to fairly subsidize farming, while also disincentivizing wasting preciouis human labour in farming.

Every armchair expert wants to reduce agriculture workforce but where are the jobs for the workers ?

Asalu manufacturing sector ledhu country lo , agriculture is a mass employment program in india . we have already seen it in Gujarat , Hardik Patel is getting lakhs and lakhs of unemployed youth to his rallies .

NDA has no manufacturing policy , all they have is protectionist bullshit to save the banias .

Automation needs large scale subsidies , every single nation has huge subsidies for equipment . India barely has anything

Asalu conversation untey kadha samara

Like I always said we have elected autocrats , once they get into power they don't listen to anyone .

Anil Ambani ki 50,000 crores loan write off chesaru kaani central government farmers ki subsidy entha isthundhi ?

Farming is like MNREGA program on a large scale . Atleast farming provides food unlike MNREGA which does nothing .

Where will farm labourer go when millions of educated people are still unemployed :giggle:

haha..  yeah. everything is tied to everything else.

too much entrenched interests in the country, both in agricultural procurement, and in industrial sectors that don't want competition.

ofcourse without govt support, both technical and financial, its impossible for indian agriculture to compete with others.

Dora emi work cheya baledhu , he should just give honest officers a fee hand and he can turn it around .

After all , administration is done by officers not politicians . Tamil nadu lo clear ga kanapaduthundhi , their politicians are corrupt but they have a very good administration

TG lo procurement takkava emo. protest chese vaaallu 2 generations ga got used to the system.

don't forget dora increase agri output. and still needs center's support to sell them off. he has talked about giving advice about what to sow in what season, so the farmers get a profit, but its won't be efficient.

this bill specifically encourages new commodity markets to take initiatives and build their own procurement networks, but also incentivizes huge corporates to simply control all procurement. which way things will turn is anyone's guess.

I have to be honest. I find the farm bill exciting. but I agree that farmers lose out, and must have a support system until a robust system is in place.
