I invested 127 K into stocks. Gained some 64K and invested it back into stocks.  I do have around 60 K losses [ negatives on stocks] which i havent realized yet.

Whats time timeline to sell those stocks with losses?

thanks,

U should understand one thing.

Over all gaa nuvvu profits lo untey, u have to pay tax for that profit.

over gaa loss lo untey, u can only claim loss for certain amount(3or4k exact ga gurthu ledhu). Migitha loss next year ki carry over.

dec 31 is the deadline

What you are looking its in middle of article : Offset Capital Gains Through Tax-Loss Selling.

https://www.investopedia.com/articles/financial-advisors/010716/how-avoid-violating-wash-sale-rules-when-realizing-tax-losses.asp

I'm in same situation but my overall unrealized losses around 13K. Good luck.

First thing, I hope the losses are not from wash sale, if it's a wash sale we cannot claim losses.
Second thing, unless you realize the losses before the end of this calendar year, you cannot claim those losses while filing 2020 tax returns.
