passing bills like fcuking emperors doesn't solve anything.

if paying msp for stock that rots is a problem, there are 1000 ways to fix that. this bill is just a way to shrug off any responsiblity of the govt to ensure fair markets.

imo that's the primary responsibility of the govts. to ensure fairness. If left to nature (pvt sector) its a path to destruction.

typical marxist losers talk scared of private sector and want govt to becom nanny

What about small holding farmers .. (not everyone in India does Intensive agriculture)? How will they survive the competition due to this mass privatization? Also what good will removing restrictions on hoarding do?

Co-operative farming is the answer.

With rising inout cost, smalll farmer cannot sustain on their own. They need to be part of a hain or system.

The future farmers will be small farmers. They need to keep their personal interest aside and form a chain or society, or else they will be a huge loss and nothing can be done to pull them out of crisis.

This is too much of unnecessary noise about the farm bills. Most of the provisions of the three farm bills that Modi government is modifying/scraping now, have already been modified or nearly scrapped in 12 states, including AP and Telangana. Changing the provisions of the farm bill, allowed AP government to set up Rythu Bazars and similar markets where Farmers can directly sell in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu.

The Farmers in the fertile Punjab and Haryana belt are used to growing just grains as water and electricity are free and huge quantities are bought under MSP even though there is no real need of them. There are 8 Lakh tonnes of Grain (rice and wheat) rotting in FCI stores.

Even though Modi Government is not scrapping MSP, It would be a great idea to scrap it. As long as MSP is there and Gov provide free electricity and water, the farmers will never move away from Rice and wheat.
