when they spent money..they paid to ppl who worked for the wedding..decorators,caterers etc got paid..they didnt burn their money..they paid it to some one.

yes, but most likely those contractors made a loss on it, or atleast not as much profit as they are used to. 

economy chugs along only when everyone is able to spend.  In other words, there's no one rich person, or even 10000 rich people that can save an economy by spending through it.

only govt has that power.
