Simran Replaces Tamanna In Tamil

Andhadhun is a super success Bollywood movie that even won the National Award from the government of India. The film’s remake rights for Telugu and Tamil were sold for a fancy price by the producers. While Nithiin plays the lead role in the Telugu version, ‘Jeans’ fame Prashanth reprises Ayushmann Khurrana in the Tamil version.

Tabu’s role from the original is a massive hit. Tabu displayed an impeccable performance in the grey-shaded character. Unfortunately, the Telugu version makers could not bring an actress on par with Tabu. Tamannah Bhatia is reprising Tabu’s role. But, the makers of the Tamil version have brought Simran on board.

Compared to the Telugu version, getting Simran on board has been an interesting casting choice. Simran suits well in the grey shade role. It is new for her and is also challenging, on the other hand. Although it is an experiment for Tamannah, people still see her as the main lead than a character artist. Simran who’s not very actively seen in films these days can surprise the audiences again with her performance in this Tamil version.

The shoot of Tamil Andhadhun begins next year. The official confirmation on the other cast and crew will come out soon.

Telugu - right choice on hero, wrong choice on Tamanna..
