But, the process isn’t quite over.

This brings us to the ultimate decision of who is president on Jan. 6.

It’s up to the 117th Congress, as dictated by the 12th Amendment to the Constitution. Lawmakers certify the electoral results in a Joint Session of Congress. The House and Senate huddle in the House chamber together. We don’t quite know how this will look during a pandemic. But Vice President Pence Mike would co-preside over the session in his capacity as president of the Senate alongside House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. Pence’s term doesn’t expire until Jan. 20. The 12th Amendment gives the vice president a little more power than the president in presiding over this session. The 12th Amendment mandates that “the President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall be counted.”

The 12th Amendment also says “the person having the greatest number of votes for President shall be President.” But Congress must agree to all of this.

Pence will only count certified results from states and declare officially. Nothing else he can do. 25 states with 306 electoral votes declared for Biden by today with certificates. So Pence can't do anything other than declaring biden as president. It's over for Trump.

Now they will blame him for all the deficit spending and economy tanking .

I don't necessarily think Trump drove it to the ground but he did a mistake in doing tax cuts for rich people and coorporates .

Covid valla 2020 lo all state governments , central governments all over the world are running record deficits . 4.2 trillion$ deficit is projected this year.  It's just mind boggling

Boss, any disaster or war is a boon for sitting leaders - automatically public will support the leader in these times. Just see how Modi grabbed lime light for months, while implementing strict ill conceived lock downs - even though people were suffering . Similar things happened all over world with 2 exceptions : Brazil and USA. Both have narcissistic, ego maniac presidents.

All he has to do is say "I am here for you" and politely suggest "wear masks" . Thats all - he would have become president by landslide. But no, his ego came in way for anything that world is following or whatever scientists say.
