She scored a blockbuster with her debut Telugu film Sudigadu and later featured in Allari Naresh’s Brother of Bommali. She featured in a couple of Malayalam and Tamil films before shifting to doing Gujarati movies. Monal said that she deliberately stayed away from South Cinema as she had a bad breakup with someone who belongs to Malayalam cinema. In her exclusive chat with GreatAndhra, the Bigg Boss beauty said that she was in love with a Malayali person for six years and broke up with him, which is why she didn’t show interest in working in South Cinema. She didn't reveal the name of her ex though. “I have been approached for a very interesting project right after coming out of Bigg Boss and I am looking forward to it. I am yet to get back to normal as Bigg Boss is a taxing experience both physically and mentally,” she told. Quote
