No, I am saying that they will get those benefits of employment even if they don't convert to Christianity. SC/ST groups get benefits from the government in terms of education and employment. So there is no need to convert if it's only about employment and benefits.

You question their beliefs first. All the abrahamic religions are masters at it. They come in with love and equality. There is some amount of elitism in india so it is easy to target the ones that don’t belong.

I don't feel like I belong to a group, but I am still spiritually Hindu. Hinduism is supposed to teach people the ability to question practises with scientific inquisitive logic, but people who follow certain practises blindly are teaching their followers trash in the name of Hinduism. Other Hindu groups are spreading hatred in the name of religion, with so much hatred spreading, I wouldn't be surprised if more people are getting attracted to other Abrahamic religions.

When there is something you cannot measure or prove it’s existence then there can be multiple things that can be true with it - it is like having multiple points of equilibrium. You can always discredit anyone’s beliefs because something else can also be true. Some people need god because they cannot fight the emotional and physical battles in this world alone. There are gaps that can only be filled by some mysterious/mystical entity. Religions take advantage of this weakness. They are structured and bat to your emotions. For all its faults, Hinduism is reasonably strong. However, there is no conscious effort to convert someone. That is not the case with Abrahamic religions. They are sponsored, have the intention to convert, and have the machinery and resources to do so.
