option one:

  1. maintain split wise
  2. every month 25th settle the balance
  3. write names on foods to have clarity in fridge

option 2 :

  1. complete bend and give full control to wife
  2. take 200$ pocket money from her
  3. all happies

option 3:

  1. use joint account to pool home expenses
  2. be very clear about your family liabilities, personal expenses and future plans

It depends on the couple.

There is no one size fits all.

But make sure that both parties are involved.

 

Avoid silly stuff like splitwise, paying rent alternatively etc.

If it is leading there, you need to question yourself regarding your spending habits.

Is your spending habit more important than your family?

 

In my view, only those who can't handle money spend like fools, just like when a homeless guy gets a lottery.

Almost all rich people I saw spend wisely. They enjoy the freedom it gives them.

Ento anta na meeda falling....my husband wants to retire when his balance alone without the money I earn reaches a specific amount. That's why he pays rent alternatively so that he can track when he can retire.

Option 4: I would prefer taking $2000 pocket money and give full control to husband.
