Indians care about retaining social hierarchies, even if they have to be translated to fit into the modern economies.

opposing BJP because it truly doesn't care and actually makes these hierarchies more rigid, makes more sense.

GDP drop, who cares. India economy is too big for almost any sort of failure, barring a sovereign default (highly unlikely), to expose those in power.

Yeah inflation can expose them.. but that's why farm bill. To keep prices low, improve efficiency, and stop worrying about farmers further being pushed into penury.

That's because the clowns in charge of congress party cannot inspire anyone to vote for them
