It's simple, don't invest in india if you don't have trustworthy people who can look after it .

Don't lend money to anyone , be firm on that . If you so lend , don't except it back .

Don't buy property on relatives names unless they will give their life for you .

You are not responsible for any emergency , don't be pressurized to give a large amount of money .

I am surprised how illusional people are most of the people in India are earning way more than us and if people are asking they will ask you even if you are in India

honestly,  no one cares about nri‘s in India anymore.. they are earning more money than most of us in the US whose only source of income is salary..
