BJP MP Saumitra Khan to send divorce notice to Sujata Mondal after she joins TMC

BJP MP SaumitraKhan has decided to send a divorce notice to his wife Sujata Mondal Khan just hours after the latter joined the Trinamool Congress ahead of the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections. Saumitra Khan is the president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha and MP from Bishnupur.

Sujata Mondal Khan joined the TMC earlier in the day in Kolkata, revealing the feud in the family in the open. Now, Bishnupur MP Saumitra Khan has decided to send a divorce notice to Sujata Mondal Khan. Besides deciding to send a divorce notice, Sujata Khan's car and house security at Barjora in Bishnupur have been withdrawn.

After joining the TMC, Sujata Mondal Khan said the BJP does not give due respect and honour to people. "Now there are only opportunist and tainted people on the top. There was no respect in the BJP for me," Sujata Mondal Khan said.

Sujata Mondal Khan also took a dig at the BJP, saying, "I don't understand what kind of soap is it that is used to purifying the tainted leaders." "I had fought for BJP and my husband [Saumitra Khan]...we got them [BJP and Saumitra Khan] a victory in the Lok Sabha polls. I think they have only been opportunists."
