Is dravid the most overrated cricketer in India?

In that nobody seems to knock on dravid in conversations, and he's widely considered as 'The Wall', when his record is clearly, way inferior to his peers.

Comparison of different eras is just stupid .

250 was a great score back then now it's too low . Sure , dravid isn't the best but he was absolutely the safety valve of team back then 

No one is doubting the talent of kohli as a batsmen but his captaincy / coach selection / attitude towards coaching  is terrible . 

Dravid is a great coach , he doesn't need to prove it anyone at that . 

Will his immediate arrival help the team ? No  . It may take 2,3 years and removal of kohli from captaincy to change the attitude and make it top tier again .

Individual talent will take you only so far but a system to foster talent will yield great results , be it in politics , sports or in a company

still no one knocks on dravid, the way tendulkar is knocked. Sachin has in fact a way better record than Dravid that compares with greats while he played.

first half of sachin's career, he compares with some of the greatest to have ever played the game.

later he became conservative, and thanks to ODI he didn't get the shameful recognition of being a ball pusher, that Dravid seems to wear so proudly on his shoulder.

cricket is about scoring runs, not pushing balls for zero runs. lol.

Sachin was a anomaly , that is why he is considered the GOAT .

By your logic Pollard would be the greatest batsmen 

Dravid like players were valued in that era of harsh bowling pitches . 

So anyway the topic isn't about his batting abilities , his coaching only .

It's like saying bill Belichick is a terrible coach , look at his individual stats .
