What if the son is introverted and not a team player.( ex: autistic, self righteous, hardworking)

He may be individualistic and has high standards.

none of this matters. the guy is young, he did it out of misplaced sense of ethics, mostly.

but there's a larger world that is unfair out there, and it is the relations he keeps that will help him navigate that world.

none of his degrees are gonna help him do that, except keep him safe inside a bubble that will one day pop.

actually, I did something similar too in my high school. got 6 guys suspended for breaking into school late night to steal exam sheets. 

one of those guys died 4yrs later in an accident.
