Free market everyone , happens every year twice because the market cannot literally absorb enough tomatoes  due to excess production .

Private players will not build storage facilities because there isn't much profit in it .

If MSP system is totally abolished rice would also be selling at low price during harvest season

Free market ante rythulu naligi chastharra nayana. Can you tell a govt employee his salary will be based on tax collection and gdp growth and will vary from month to month. Why does he get guarenteed salary, vacation, health care, pension whereas annadata must live hand on stomach depending on market forces ?

True , india is keeping inflation under control at the cost of the farmers . Only way out is to form a huge association to press for their rights . As long there is no unity in farmers no one will care about them

Adhi kadhu matter you take inflation rate from 1990  , government employee salary and take cost of paddy / sugarcane or any other crop .

Farm produce has grown well below inflation , government employee salary has grown 2-3 times more .  Without increasing food rates the only way you can keep food cheap is huge subsidies but in india farmers get jack subsidies when compared to even USA .

If anyone of your relatives is still farming ask them how have been the rates over the last ten years , ask them if their income doubled .

Solution Jaya prakash narayana antundey , farmers nee happy chestam and cheyali . Will public ready to pay the price either directly or indirectly . Directly through inflation and indirectly through tax increase eventually ( govt subsidies ichi later through taxes collect cheyadam )

Reformist mms adhey chesadu , inflation control lo unchi ( eg petrol prices penchaleduu eventhough barrel price was high )

India lanti country , with agriculture land ki subsidies ivali antey people need to pay

One solution found was making ketchup and selling to local markets (Srini Food Park a SEZ  near Palamaneru) .. it failed due to too much pressure from local politicians (Kiran Kumar reddy relatives) they reduced the collection of Tomatoes.

Another solution can be making canned tomatoes during season and export them. unfortunately GOVT will not allow that...

Watch from 0:53 ..it is politicians who ultimately control the price .

The new famers bill elimates middle vendors only .it creates provision for 1 lakh Quinta's storage under one roof legally..that means final vendor can buy and store it and sell it whenever price goes .

As per current law storing high storage is illegal as it can inflate or deflate crops price..that will force farmers to sell their crops to one big vendor for whatever price he asks..he can also deny to buy
